In an effort to keep seniors and their loved ones safe and well informed, Family First Senior Care provides complimentary educational seminars for the Spokane Community. The following is a list of our current presentation listings:

Fall Prevention, 50-minute duration

We at Family First Senior Care have seen firsthand the devastating consequences a fall can have in the life of a senior citizen. These include injuries that may cause a partial to complete loss of independence and may lead to a fatality.

Family First Senior Care's Fall Prevention seminar addresses the following objectives:

• Identification of both external and internal factors that contribute to falling
• Share some simple things you can do to prevent falls
• Teach you how to get up safely if you do fall

Five Wishes, 45-minute duration

When facing end-of-life decisions, many of us want the following wishes to be honored: to die at home; to be free from pain; to be in the company of loved ones; to retain control of the care we receive. Unfortunately the reality is that many often wait until it is too late to state their wishes for these difficult situations.

Family First Senior Care's Five Wishes seminar addresses the following objectives:

• Practical steps to make your wishes known and honored
• How to be there for your loved ones when needed the most
• Follow-up steps for communicating your wishes to others
• Answers to common questions
• Additional resources and support

Frugal Living, 35-45 minute duration

At Family First Senior Care, we are dedicated to helping seniors and their families spend less and get more. With the current recession we our experiencing, being frugal is now more important than ever.

Family First Senior Care's Frugal Living seminar addresses the following objectives:

• Explain how to shop using coupons and discounts
• Share methods of organizing and planning shopping trips without hours of preparation
• Teach everyone to save 40% to 80% on common household purchases each month
