Mary, Office Assistant
Being the Office Assistant at FFSC is a rewarding experience which gives me pleasure in getting to know our wonderful Caregivers and clients. I have always held a special place in my heart for the elderly and am happy to be part of a team that provides in home care for them.
Prior to coming to work for FFSC, I held an Administrative Assistant position at a drug/alcohol counseling agency for almost four years. Before that, I worked at the Health District also as an AA for three years. I did volunteer work at Cheney Care Assisted Living for 6 months on bingo nights with my teenage daughter in 2004 after completing college.
My husband and I will have our 31st anniversary on Sept. 6. We have daughters, Rochelle age 25 and Kasandra age 20, who are carving out future careers. We have lived in Spokane since November '97. I enjoy photography, reading, movies, long drives, and exercising.
Sue, Care Coordinator
As Care Coordinator, I am responsible for managing our well-trained and qualified Caregivers while they work in our seniors' homes and meet their needs. Working for Family First Senior Care and assisting seniors in achieving their desired independence is completely rewarding. I come from a long line of independent individuals and I know they would be proud of what I am doing for others.
I started working at a young age and have always been involved in service for others. I have worked for the past 11 and a half years in healthcare staffing. The focus on quality and relationships is all part of what I love about Family First.
My time away from work is spent with my family. We spend our time together enjoying everything life has to offer. I am, also, currently the PTA Treasurer at my younger kids' school. I volunteer whenever possible for their events. Being a mom is my greatest joy!
Heidi, Scheduling Coordinator
I am the Scheduler at Family First Senior Care and it is really a pleasure getting to know all of our clients and caregivers.
I started in healthcare when I was a teenager and worked as a CNA for 8 years, mostly in long term care facilities. I realized then that I have a passion for working with seniors. I truly appreciate what we are able to do here by helping our clients to stay in their homes as long as possible and get the more personalized one on one care that they deserve.
My goal when coordinating the schedules is to be sure that each client is matched with the caregivers who will best be able to meet their needs and ensure that they receive the highest quality care on a long term basis.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons and attending gatherings with the rest of our family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, baking, crafts and reading.
Chris, Marketing Coordinator
I oversee Marketing and Community Relations for Family First Senior Care. It has been nothing short of exciting! Having graduated from Eastern Washington University, I decided that I would use my skills and jump head first into marketing. Each day brings new opportunities to interact and create, and I count myself lucky to be able to do so in such a rewarding environment.
Seeing both of my grandmothers needing care and offering care when I could, I fully appreciate having the chance to market services providing peace of mind to families and their loved ones. The atmosphere within our company is one of knowing that no senior should be left behind, every senior is important!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as gardening, fishing and watching the Seattle Seahawks.
